"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westgate Hotel in Ximending, Taipei. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the MRT/subway station, surrounded by endless dining options, massage parlours, and within easy walking distance to everything in Ximending. We booked the Executive Suite since we were traveling with four large suitcases, and the room was adequately spacious, clean, and comfortable. The standout, however, was the exceptional service—from the warm welcome at the front desk to the attentive staff in the restaurant, everyone was polite, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Our room included daily complimentary breakfast, offering a great selection of both Western and local dishes. The food was fresh, delicious, and well-presented—though it can get crowded at peak times. Overall, Westgate Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Taipei. Highly recommended for both location and hospitality."

"Big beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean. Very kind and helpful staff. One person in particular went over and above for us during breakfast, and we felt really well cared for by her especially. The housekeeping staff are also very good at their jobs. Loved the pool and the fact that it stays open into the late evening. The surrounding area is not the most pretty, but it doesn't matter, we liked the local feel and being away from the crowds. There are nice places to eat, convenience stores and subway stations a short walk away. This hotel was a great choice for our family trip to Taiwan and we would stay here again for sure. "
