Staff very friendly and helpful. Not a place to stay if you don't drive as public transport lacks availability. On a busy dual carriageway, bus stop a mile away on return journey. A long walk but doable especially in the summer months

Property looks a bit rough around the edges upon arrival and I was a little worried but our room was spacious and very clean. Lady on reception was very pleasant and helpful. I would stay again.

It’s a basic. No lift, bar and boxed breakfast. But option of hot bacon sarni in Greggs. Choose countryside view room at the back ideally but building is set back a bit from busy A64. Right on the cycle route to York and good parking space.

Would stay again in a Travelodge , great value . Given a room key that didn’t work , no remote control for the tv . Booking included breakfast but they clearly said it wasn’t whilst checking in , but great value

Hotel is in a services off main road so really hard to access when coming from York direction. Our room felt damp. We booked with Expedia with free breakfast but hotel said not free so didn’t get beeakfasts(which are boxes to take away anyway). Raised complaint with Expedia re “free” breakfast which ended up costing us £40 at nearby McDonald’s (2 days)

Booked through hotels.com Lovely staff in reception, Parking was easy and we slept well (reasonably firm mattress and pillow which was ideal for me) It was quite warm so we slept with the window open, not a problem. We were supposed to receive a free breakfast (according to our booking) but were told they don’t do breakfasts although we could, if we wished, pay £5.99 for a breakfast box, from reception or just mooch over to Greggs. There was a kettle in the room along with sachets of tea, coffee & little Uht milks I would say the cleaning wasn’t great but I imagine the cleaners have a lot to get through. Dusty skirting boards & picture frames, old toothpaste etc on the back of the sink, some limescale, and a temperamental soap dispenser over the bath, a little blood on the duvet BUT the duvet cover etc was all nice and clean. Having said all this I'm probably being a bit picky, it was generally okay and didn’t feel the need to complain. I’m a housekeeper/cleaner and when at work I wouldn’t get away with the standard cleaning in our room. Excellently vacuumed though and a nice clean shower head. Also I loved having to use an actual key, I managed to get into my room every time I tried, without fail 😂 We would stay here again! It was nice and easy with pleasant staff.
