We ate in the restaurant one night, the food was well presented, but the pork belly was over cooked and the chips were over salted. We also asked for the coffee tray to be cleaned & refreshed. Someone had come in, left a large bag of tea/coffee sachets in the room, but not cleaned the cups & tray - I assume they got distracted & didn't finish the job."

"We enjoyed staying at the Huntsman, the accommodation was clean and very well maintained and good value for money. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. However, there were a couple of minor things; the room description detailed a king sized bed. It wasn't and this would appear to be a mistake in the details on Hotels.com. Secondly the staff didn't seem to realise that we were staying for 2 nights and the room wasn't serviced on the second day."

"The staff were friendly but were unable to change my room which was not ideal. I was given a disabled room- the fittings were heavily rusted, the shower flooded the entire bathroom and the sink was badly chipped. A deep clean of the room is also required"

"I only stayed here for a couple of nights but found it to be a nice hotel in quiet and pleasant surroundings. Friendly, courteous staff, clean and comfortable rooms, as well as delicious breakfast. Well recommended!"

"Room was clean and fine for a night’s stay. Bed was ok, shower good. Parking limited and we parked on the street which was fine after 6pm and on a Sunday. Was noisey in the evening and WiFi was very temperamental. Overall I’d say 7/10 but I could only give 4/5 stars as 3 would be a little harsh given the price we paid."

"What an absolute gem. Situated in a quiet quaint village Wayside is the perfect getaway. My room was clean and spacious with views out onto beautiful countryside. Lovely courtyard at the entrance with seating area. Continental breakfast wanted for nothing with fresh refrigerated milk, yoghurts, orange juice, cheese grapes etc. Lovely fresh bread, toaster, kettle and all you need to use. Shower room compact and spotless. I would definitely recommend"
