"This is a rundown hotel in a nice neighborhood. Hotels.com should look into whether their rooms live up to the basic standards. In our experience the room we got was very poor. When we complained we were "upgraded" to what we consider a normal room—on the 6th floor. We suspect the 6th floor is the only floor that doesn't have the likes of cabinets with water damaged doors too swollen to close. To its credit the hotel does have excellent staff who are working to the best of their abilities with conditions that will disappoint many customers. The free breakfast is decent enough, and on the weekend a raucous boozy smoking crowd gathers for poolside music in the form of singers performing to karaoke tracks. Thankfully it doesn't go too late if you're an early-to-bed type. We would stay there again if the 6th floor is available at the normal price. Otherwise, Deerfield Beach has many other nicer rooms in the 150 to 250 range."

"This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. There is no signage on the building indicating it is a LaQuinta, and there were no employees on site. We had to check in through a computer screen, and our keys were delivered through this machine. The room was filthy, musty, and smelly, and there was mold all over the bathroom. The shower and tub were too disgusting and moldy to use. The inside of the closet door was wet, and water was leaking inside the closet. The floors were absolutely filthy!!!! The full length mirror looked like feces was splashed on it. It was so disgusting!! All wall art had been removed, but screws and nails were left on the walls. I would have left, but we were unable to find other accommodations. "

"First off, either I high standards, or some people giving good reviews for this place have low standards. I’m going to say other people have some pretty low standards (no offense). What a huge disappointment this place was. The pictures online are NOT what you’re getting. Yes, I did not book the room with a balcony or an ocean view, I get it, but I expected at least a clean room that was modern. What I got was a sterile room with dirty floors, windows and zero natural light. A college dorm has more character and is most likely cleaner. The view of the parking lot is what it is, That really didn’t matter anyways, but I would have been nice to at least see through the window. The windows for the entire building are absolutely filthy. I’m sure they haven’t been cleaned in years, The floors throughout the property are pretty gross as well. That was our first impression checking in. The room’s floors were just as bad. We were afraid to touch anything. The bathroom was pretty bad too. The door comes within 1/2” from hitting the front of the toilet. You either have to step in the shower of between the shower and the toilet, just to close the door. The bathroom was that small. Not to mention the sink was tiny as well, making it difficult for 2 people to share. The only redeeming quality for this place was the beach access. But I’m sure you can get that at the 100s of other properties near by. Do yourself a favor, don’t book here, unless the above doesn’t really bother you. "
