We made our reservation long before our stay. It was confirmed, prepaid and a time of our arrival was confirmed. Since it was going to be late in the day they had us send a photo copy of the charge card we had used to prepay as well as a photo copy of the drivers license. We were told the room key would be at the front desk when we arrived. Just as we got in our rental car at the airport to go to the Super 8 we got a phone call telling us not to come because they had given our room away. This was after 11:30pm and if we wanted a refund we would need to call a Super 8 customer service since it was now too late to cancel and ask for a refund. Since the reservation was for 3 days we asked about the other days and the motel employee said he wasn’t sure he would really have a room for the next night either. I called the phone number to ask for the refund and they did offer to find another room in the area. They found a room but wanted significantly more and would not price match since I was not able to get that price because I was not booking early. I found a room on my own elsewhere.
