"The room was clean and comfortable as usual at Scandic. There was an excellent buffet breakfast, also as usual. The receptionist put us in a large room (Scandic's rooms are notoriously small) which turned out to be for the disabled. What he didn't do is warn us that the unloading/ loading parking pullout in front of the hotel has very strict rules. We took 9 minutes to check in and drop our bags in the room and return to the car. We know it was 9 minutes because that was on the 900 NOK parking...

"From the moment I walked in the door, this hotel surprised and amazed me. The hotel smelt so lovely as soon as I walked in the door. New recruit Martyn was smiling behind the counter when I arrived and went way over and above to give me so much information about the hotel and the surrounding area. "Our stay was great. The apartment was clean and modern. Very convenient to have a kitchenette and washing machine. The place is above a great bakery, several grocery stores and other restaurants nearby. A bus stop is right there as well. We thought it was a great value for what we got. Only problem was the check -in, we never received the key box code, but a staff member came out and got us the keys."

"We arrived super early and they offered us breakfast and to take our bags. We checked in later in the day. The room was comfortable and it had a good shower. The gulls are protected so they nest all around, but the ear plugs offered worked well. Breakfast is really good. Location right by the quay and we would definitely stay again."
