"The day we checked in and as we almost made it to our room, the fire alarm went off. With luggage in hand we ran down the stairs and found the outdoor exit with another guest. We made our way to the front of the building and learned it was a false alarm, thank goodness. Anyway, fun times :-) The staff is wonderful and kind. Breakfast was wonderful with optoons to have omelets made the way you want, and pancakes too. Our room was clean and quite. Overall, great stay."

"Nothing fancy, most places in this area aren't but it is just fine for a one night stay. They took care of our bags for us while we waited about 2 hours until check-in time. Half the price of the one across the street."

"When we arrived late at night after a long flight we were met at the door by a man that told us the hotel was closed for renovations. What a shock to find out you don't have a hotel rooom in the middle of high season. He said someone should have called us to let us know. We did not get that call. He said we could go across the street to the Captain Hook Hotel for a room, which is owned by the same owner. We went there and they offered us a room for a higher rate than I had booked at the...

"We stayed for 3 nights. The staff was very accommodating. Our main complaint was that it was very hot in the room and there was no air conditioning. The front desk person came down and there was a fan provided in the closet, which helped a lot. We also had trouble with the lock on the door not working. It was looked at, but we were told it just acts up sometimes, but it was frustrating to not be able to get in our room. Breakfast was so-so, but again, the staff were wonderful and always...

"Charlie picked us up at Anchorage airport and was super friendly and helpful. He offered to drive a few of us over to a nearby restaurant for dinner after we checked in and he came back to pick us up afterwards. Comfortable room. Good breakfast in the morning. Perfect for a 1 night stay before a cruise."
