"This was the best property we stayed while in Japan. Location was perfect, walkable to Gion (10min) and Kiyomizu-dera. Bus stop & Lawson are both 5 min away. Property was very well maintained, and my 7yo daughter enjoyed the large screen from her bunk bed. No traditional dryer but you can dry your clothes in the shower room which has a dryer function! "It was a great stay. The location was between the major shopping areas and the train station. We found that we needed to cab to most notable shrines in the Kyoto, but the place was large and very roomy. We enjoyed the Japanese style extra room for our child. Having a washing machine was a definite plus. The self serve checking in was easy to follow, and the virtual staff were quick to respond to our questions and concerns. Would recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto. "

"This was by far our favourite accommodation in Japan. The manager was amazing and the accommodation was spacious, traditional but will all of the modern facilities. We loved it and wished we had spent more time here. In fact, once we moved to Osaka, we travelled back twice to spend time in this area and a little town called Sanjo. "

The only minor complaint I have is the slowness of filling the hot tub on the first day. On subsequent days it got better, however. The staff was very responsive through email. "
