"Our family travelled around Ireland and London for 2 weeks and stayed at 9 different hotels and this was the best hotel we stayed at even though it was the least expensive. The newly remodeled rooms are beautiful and spacious. The staff was very friendly and it was within walking distance of the Bunratty castle and other restaurants. The most pleasant surprise though was the spa with a beautiful pool and saunas along with a great workout facility. If you are planning to stay anywhere near this...

"Beautiful place. Set up a crib for my baby before we got there which was amazing. Comfy bed! Nice shower. Delicious breakfast in morning. This will be where we stay whenever we fly into Shannon from here on after."

"I never had of Newcastle West before, but if you are ever in this town, this is the place to be. My wife considered the breakfast "the best Irish breakfast in Ireland," and who am I to disagree? We truly enjoyed our stay (and the breakfast) as well the friendly staff including (especially Derek the manager). We need disability-friendly accommodations, and this hotel, in this regard, was a great place to stay. The true test of any hotel, is "Would you go back?," and we would gladly come back...

"Facility is more fancy than the actual room but very nice facility and would certainly stay again!"

"Location was a tad bit out of the way from some activities, the bus, and train, but what it lacked in location, it made up in amenities. The room is spacious, clean, has air conditioning, and the bed is big. Check out is later than most other hotels and the staff was very helpful in holding our luggage and recommending things to do. Comfortable, relaxing, and would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel was a delightful surpise; charming architecture and decor with several lounge rooms and 3 restaurants off the reception area. Our room, though not “large” was bigger than most rooms on our trip, including luxury hotels we stayed in. It was immaculately clean and well furnished with a small refrigerator, small dining table, comfortable chairs, and desk area. It is an older hotel but renovated well. "It is a very beautiful town, but the hotel is dated and didn’t feel clean. The heater would not turn off, so it was hot. It took a while for them to accommodate us. The restaurant on sight is excellent."
