This property is centrally located with pedestrian only streets directly out the back door (the pub door is on the main road!) The beds were comfy and room was clean. We loved being greeted by OG, the cat! Staff were excellent. All in all, a great stay and base for exploring county clare!

We chose The Old Grounde Hotel for our first two days upon arrival from the US and it did not disappoint. It set the standard with extremely attentive staff, beautifully maintained historic rooms and the most delicious dinner in their Town Hall restaurant with impeccable service. Highly recommend!

BnB Feel

I travel a lot and this is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in. The bed was very comfortable, the room spacious. The breakfast was quite good and worth the money. If I had to nitpick I did try to get coffee separate from breakfast and it took three staff members and 20 minutes. The hotel is right by a lot of pubs, food, and other options. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
