This is the second time I stayed at Solaria Myeongdong. Good location, comfortable room size and very convenient to go other places in Seoul. However, as Expedia privilege member, I was offered the welcome drink at the cafeteria. It’s only opened from 12pm to 3pm, with such a short timing, I had not been able to use this privilege at all.

The staff in the reception is very helpful and friendly. Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Myeongdong so a lot of choices for shopping and dining. But car cannot directly access to the hotel so need to bring luggage to walk to the main road to take taxi. The lift is a bit old and not clean. Other than that, recommend to stay.

The hotel service was excellent overall. However, I had booked a Family Twin Room for myself, my wife, and our two children. Upon arrival, the staff informed us that only 3 guests are allowed per room. This was surprising, as the listing on Hotels.com clearly states that the room accommodates four people.

Rooms are clean, but could use upgrade. Staff ok, nothing extraordinary. Laundry on 6th floor: convenient and cheap. Breakfast mediocre; decent selection but not outstanding. Was surprised that rice wasn’t fresh: chewy and unlike Korean or Japanese rice, which is usually exceptional! Best thing about Solaria is its location: smack in the heart of Myeongdong; near shopping, restaurants and subway station. Easy to use and get around Seoul. Paid $250 per night and have definitely paid less for more: better room, better food and much better service (no one smiles at this hotel; could be cultural, but they all seemed either unhappy or too complacent). My fourth stay but would suggest booking another property!

Lovely hotel, fantastic location and remarkably quiet rooms despite the noise of the neighbourhood. The beds come with two pillows. The first of which was far too hard to sleep comfortably and the other flat and equally uncomfortable. The only other issue was the heating was permanently on, and can't be turned down by guests during winter months. This being said the rooms were very well equipped, staff were very helpful and location was perfect.

客室は清潔でしたし、スタッフさんの対応もよかった。チェックアウトが無人タイプで便利なのに不具合があってわざわざ21階にもどる必要があるのが残念だった。

宿泊自体は非常に良かったが 連泊の場合は、部屋の清掃が2日に1回で それ自体は問題ないが、ゴミの回収だけはして欲しい
