"Was a great location for us, clean and very friendly. But we could not get hardly any hot water. Reported but maintenance had already left for the day."

"At the price point we were surprised to find no bottles of water in the room - - - although there was a filtered water dispenser on the drinking fountain. As a Marriott Bonvoy member we weren’t offered any water at the front desk or any other upgrades. The rooms are excellent and appear to be recently remodeled. Staff all friendly and helpful. The food selection for breakfast is pretty sad - even by free Hotel breakfast standards. No hard boiled eggs at all - - - for example."

"The only major complaints I had were the the lights were shut off for the whole property for most of a day. I believe it was outside of their control but I would have liked have received some sort of compensation for being without power during my stay. Its summer in Houston, not having air conditioning is miserable. Luckily I was able to make plans as to not have to be in my room while the power was out. "Ps el hotel se veía recién pintado pero cuando entré a la habitación estaba muy mal estado esta sucia encontré cucarachas la puerta del baño se le salían los pedazos las camas estaban sucias y habían pelos de otras personas, cuando fui al desayuno no había nada solo serie y 3 pedazos de pan de verdad que no fue una buena experiencia mi pareja me dijo que para que elegí ese hotel"

"Quick week end gateway with the family. Conveniently located close to shopping mall, restaurant and amenities. Quiet and spacious room. Complementary breakfast and dinner. Secure location and parking lot. This is definitely our spot everytime we are in town."

"The property is well maintained and is a lovely place to stay at, however, when I booked it, I thought it was more like a a Bed and Breakfast, but it turned out more like an Airbnb because the day we checked in, there was no staff at the property and the second day as well, we did not see any staff. It is a quit and well situated property and the best part is that it has convenient parking on property."

"We always love staying at the Houstonian. It is full of history, wonderful amenities, and is exceptionally well maintained and clean. We loved using the Houstonian Fitness Center and three pools. Tennis and pickleball, too! Walking path around the property is one of our favs! The Spa is so beautiful and relaxing as well. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel and the wait staff was so attentive. This location in the heart of Houston amongst the shade of trees is a hidden treasure! We will be back!"
