Mary Mount Hotel

Mary Mount Hotel

8/10 Good
"Clean hotel which is ideal for anyone fell walking or just walking down the Borrowdale valley, wonderful views out to Derwent water , gardens well maintained with a lovely outdoor area next to the river, hotel as squeeky floor boards but only due to the age of the building so can’t be helped, breakfast buffet well stocked with decent quality foods, just a couple of negatives, the extraction fan in our bathroom, room 26 was not working and in the downstairs men’s toilets a strong urine smell both of which could easily be improved. I would definitely stay again"

"We much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Fantastic location and great walks from the door. Also not as busy as many other parts of The Lakes. Hotel was very comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and we ate in the hotel a couple of nights. Food was very good though menu a little restrictive if you were staying more than two or three nights intended to eat in the hotel throughout your stay. We’d definitely return."
