The stay was really nice. But with a room right beside the Pool, it does get noisy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Sylvia went over & beyound to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The remaing staff at the front desk & the service staff were amazing. Love the pool & the closeness to the beach. The restaurant was good too. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great comfortable place to stay

Excellent Hotel! The staff are helpful and friendly, very quick to respond to requests. Only thing I didn’t like was the over-use of plastic. Towels wrapped in plastic?

Las Hamacas was perfect for our first trip to Melaque! The location is hard to beat and the view from our room was breath-taking. We found our room to be clean, well-stocked, with a very well-stocked kitchen. I will say, as others have also noted, there is live music at the restaurant from 2 - 4pm Mon - Wed, at least the week we were there. The place is hopping and the band is great. But do know the sound is all-encompassing if you have a beach-facing room. The Las Hamacas staff were super-friendly, quick to respond and helpful in suggesting alternative ways to the airport, thank you staff!

It’s an older hotel but the room was very clean and well equipped in kitchen. Pool was too hot for swimming but the beach is right behind. Staff were excellent and accommodating. There is a restaurant right behind the building on the ocean, good food and you get a discount as a guest. Lots of restaurants, shops and bus within walking distance. We would stay again.

i thought some reviews were fake but the reviews were accurate this place is clean comfortable n friendly .. food at restaurant was pretty good n service was also good i liked the location too. i would definitely go back to relax . my stay was druing off season so not everything was open but still a good place to stay

This was a really great stay for the cost! Room was clean and spacious. Staff was extremely welcoming. Free parking was a plus. And the pool was nice to have! Our only real complaint was that the wifi didn’t work (or maybe didn’t reach our room?) so it was impossible to work at all. Just something worth knowing if you work remotely.

The rooms are very basic. Beds were comfortable but no comfie seating. All wooden chairs in kitchen and one folding lawn chair on the balcony. If you want drinking water it will cost you 55 pesos for a 5 gallon bottle. No beach towels so bring your own. Housekeeping by request only. Had to sign for the TV remotes as well as air conditioner remotes and handed 4 bath towels at check in that had to be returned upon check out (along with remotes and key). The staff at front desk were very nice, Sylvia speaks excellent English. The restaurant/bar staff were great, they bust their butts every day serving great food and drinks. Lucy and Luka were amazing.

We were very happy with the friendly staff who lent us a microwave, a toaster, and a hairdryer for the duration of our two week stay, and cleaned our room with fresh towels and sheets. We would have appreciated a bedside lamp, since the room was rather dark, with the drapes drawn on the window, which faced the street, and only a single overhead light. Only one overhead light in the kitchen, also. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, frying pans, pots, and cutlery. All in all, we were very pleased!

Location was fantastic. Short walk from bus depot, shops, banks, and restaurants. They have music at the restaurant there some afternoons. Lovely to sit at the tables on the beach. Very basic hotel. Did not get the room we booked (which they blamed Expedia for, but later admitted was their error) so were shown alternatives - two of the rooms did not have windows in the bedrooms! cement cells! So were given another room, which we had to move from after a few days. Very little kitchen equipment - plastic dishes, one very dull knife, very bent and scratched frying pan. They brought us a toaster and drying rack when asked (no towel bar in bathroom). Had to buy water to drink. Very little lighting, only a light in the ceiling fans in bedroom and kitchen area, so it was very dark trying to prepare food, and there were no lights by the beds so impossible to read. The beds were a bit firm but comfortable. The hotel could use some cleaning and painting. All chairs and seating benches were wood or cement in both the rooms and common areas, with very flimsy vinyl cushions, so the only comfortable place to sit was on a bed with no headboard. The only hot water was in the shower, which took about 20 mins to heat up. None in kitchen or bathroom sinks. Sylvia, the manager, was very nice and helpful. She was the only staff member who spoke English. Quite quiet for the most part. Pool and outdoor areas shut down at 9:00. Gates to street and beach closed at 10:00 so felt safe.
