"The bars are less than great so we would suggest finding another bar nearby to utilize. Drinks were incorrectly mixed resulting in bad tasting drinks. Everyone should know how to make an Old Fashioned that taste great!"

"My husband and I loved our stay at the Carr Mansion! This historical home was charming, clean, and comfortable. Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall. "This is by far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. My partner and I loved how spacious and clean everything was. Staff was amazing and friendly upon first impressions. Pool area was clean and the sun didn’t directly hit us due to the building, so you don’t have to worry about getting a tan lol. The only thing I would say I wasn’t a fan of is that there wasn’t as many options for breakfast (loved the waffles though). Overall amazing stay & would definitely stay again!!"

When we arrived late at night, there were people smoking outside the property, which created an uncomfortable first impression. The room appeared poorly maintained and unclean. I found bugs on the bed, the sheets felt damp, the shower appeared stained, and there was visible dirt on the floors.
