"This Sands is a very clean hotel with simple and functional furnishings and a great swimming pool! I found the pool a great place to get some sun and a quick swim. It is on the border of La Jolla, but about halfway between Pacific Beach and downtown La Jolla. The front desk, staff person, and all of the housekeeping and service staff were very friendly and helpful."

"This was our first time staying at Loews. We love Coronado, and San Diego in general, and live about an hour away so it’s always a nice getaway. This hotel is about 5 miles past hotel Del Coronado just across from Silver-strand Beach. It’s beautiful and quiet the electric bike rentals at the property made it very easy and reasonable to rent and “ride” into town. "We loved this hotel. Out room was over the lobby, easily accessible with both elevator or stairs. The room nice size, morning food choices very good, staff exceptional. And the buikd, somewhat spanish mission style, a plus next to Denny's with a very cool interior & quality food "
