"Amazing place, incredible service and wonderful staff. Not a typical hotel stay. It’s remote and on its own incredible property which makes it special. The staff is always available for your needs, the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and food was delicious. Extremely satisfied with my stay. "

"Wilkin was our server Nokia restaurant. He was always attentive and had a warm greeting. The
Ribeye, roasted potatoes with pesto sauce, and side house salad. Spinach ravioli with white sauce. Solid 8 on meal. 10 on server. Kimberly and Axel at Chill & Grill were so sweet. Very courteous and accommodating. The wings, burgers, onion rings, and Ceasar salad was a good lunch option. Drinks were flowing. 8/10
Room service was ordered on the third day in advance. Arrived on time. Ceasar salad. Salmon with mashed potatoes and veggies. Cheesecake had strawberry and sliced grape with sauce on it. Not mentioned on menu. Overall 7/10. Breakfast was always good. Made to order omelets, fresh juice, some sort of meat (bacon, sausage or hash), plantain, peas and rice and an assortment of fruit. Francisco was our server multiple times and was always kind and offered great suggestions when asked. A few suggestions would be not to have electrical equipment going before 0800 in the mornings. We weren't able to sleep in. Power outages 3x. Rooms need to have microwaves and the refrigerators need to have bottled water as a stocked selection. . I had to purchase Chrisal water at the gift store for $5 US and $8.50 for one bottle of Evian. Also, no entertainment was provided or advertised and excursions were limited due to multiple ATV breakdowns. Won't be fixed until June. Overall 7/10"
"A must stay in Costa Rica! One of the most tranquil, romantic, and beautiful places we’ve ever stayed! The personal and small touches made all the difference!
This is a boutique hotel where the staff all truly care for guests and one another. Valery, Fiorella, Issabella, and all the ESH staff were so lovely and welcoming. Danny, Francisco, Froylan, and all the staff at Almar were amazing, and the food and cocktails were terrific!
The rooms are all private and have amazing amenities. It is close to Guiones and they offer shuttle service to all the local locations. Further, they provided many food and activity recommendations off site.
Overall, it was the highlight of our trip, and will be recommending ESH to anyone who plans to travel to Costa Rica!
Pure Vida!"
"This resort has it all from delicious breakfast to excellent front desk concierge's service. Set on a high ridge or mountain in a nature reserve with spectacular views of the ocean. Easy access to the beaches thru a residential neighborhood. Plenty of nature to see with Howler monkeys at a safe distance in the trees throughout the resort and neighborhood. Access to the Nature Reserve trail is available from the resort but bring sturdy mud type shoes during the rainy season. We stayed in Room 31 which was very spacious for three guests (2 bedrooms) and has an excellent view of the jungle and ocean."
"Suitree is certainly a special experience with 360 views from tree house and thus lived up to expectations completely. The resort has a great natural feel to it but with construction of new tree houses underway during daytime, the noise spoils the peace and tranquility somewhat.
The dining experience had a few issues such as slow delivery (breakfast with a tour arranged at 07:30 took over 40 minutes (and we were the only dinners), lack of fruit unless paid for extra plate and yet Costa Rica had fruit everywhere with other hotels fully including plentiful fruit & juices within their breakfasts. Coffee other than standard black is extra and in a 16 day trip this was the only example of paying for coffee. Whilst we had a dietary requirement (no tomato due allergy) and this was advised well in advance and on the day of order, the first day main course came covered in tomato after a long wait. Overall food quality was very good and made a good selection of wines albeit pricey.
ATV tour locally was good and Giavanni was very attentive. Not much else to do in resort but lie by the pool though as there was no gym, or Yoga which we had hoped for (but were told it could be provided for $90!). Coco beach isn’t far away but the tree house experience is wonderful for a day or two so why head to a beach with these views?
Checkout took an age due lots of confusion with charges on our I’ll which was resolved through a manual process. Overall a wonderful birthday to remember!"
