"Facilities really are first rate, staff are very friendly and attentive. Lots of sporting activities available, on-site food is pretty decent, although we tried to make use of the self-catering facilities. Rooms are lovely, although soundproofing could be improved but generally other guests are thoughtful. My only area of improvement would be the cooking facilities within the apartments. Jane in the restaurant was exceptionally organised and went out of her way to help this elderly ex service couple, she is to be complemented on her efforts. The two single beds 4’ are exceptional. The price of £66 for a room is absolutely acceptable although I would like to see a little reduction in the price of Bfast from £15 to £10, pensioners do not eat £15...

"Extortionate price for a freezing room with no really hot water. Bar was cold too (no logs put on fire) although food and beer were good. Landlady was unsympathetic - "no one else has complained". She suggested I could have put a second duvet on top. Talk about denial!!!!! Avoid this place if you want value for money and/or until the temperature rises above 18 degrees."

"Hotel reception wasn’t well signed. Rooms were clean, but corridors were quite dirty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Main restaurant wasn’t available so had to eat in a stark feeling cafe area which wasn’t so nice. The staff were very accommodating regarding allergy issues. The steak wasn’t very good. Breakfast in the restaurant area was nice. Again staff were attentive."
