The hotel’s restaurant was very good (we ate there for dinner 3 times; easy to get a table and delicious food after long days). Special shout out to Paola at the restaurant-so friendly, lively … she really made us feel so welcome. The only current downside is that hotel’s shuttle is out of service. We were unable to get a taxi...

"This is a grand palatial hotel, it’s very beautiful sat right at the top of a large hill. In its day it would have been an amazing place to stay. Now a tad dated but still a lovely place to stay. All the staff are friendly, very professional and generous. I had a corner room with a small balcony and superb view of lake Varese. My room was big and the bathroom clean. The only difficult part if you stay a while and plan to eat out (rather than in the grand restaurant) is that there’s no easy way...
