"If you want a true Italian family experience then a stay at BnB La Mortella is the answer. We considered staying in Paestum to be close to the great temples but knowing that La Mortella was only 20 minutes away convinced us to try something different during our Italia tour. The BnB was a bit hard to find but once we were there it was worth seeking. Antonio and his family also work the land with citrus and olive groves dominating the landscape. They also produce olive oil for their business. Each...

"Comfortable hotel, amazing breakfast, pretty nice staff. "

"The room and bathroom were spacious, smelled nice, had a great balcony overlooking a spectacular view! Comfortable beds, quality linens and towels, cute slippers for the pool :)."

"Great hospitality and delicious breakfast with local dairy products and fruits. "

"It is a hidden gem. We absolutely love it and the grounds are 5 star"

"Great location, excellent staff and nice amenities"

"My great grandfather was born in the very small town of Aquara and, in planning our trip from the USA to Italy, we were looking for a peaceful, welcoming spot to stay while we paid a short visit to the city. The staff was terrifically accommodating and the property was beautiful. There is a restaurant, small bar and pool on site as well as short walking trail, hammocks and, since they are up on a hill, beautiful views of the valley below Aquara. "

"The setting was wonderful and serene set next to a KIWI orchard. The staff was great even though of our difference in language - we were made to feel at home and very comfortable. A great place to stay next to the unforgettable archaeological site - Paestum! All in all a SUPER GREAT PLACE!"

"Good breakfast. Friendly staff."

"The restaurant and the staff were very good. The room had very bright lights, and the bed squeaked. The location was out in the country and if it would’ve been summertime with the pool and the outside areas, it probably would’ve been one more star. We were the only ones staying at the property the night we were there. I still would recommend this place as a nice alternative to hectic city hotels"

"A pretty amazing place. Looks very luxurious, the restaurant and the meal was super fancy and yet very reasonably priced. We couldn’t understand why the place was mostly empty, but we stayed mid-week, and the place clearly caters to Italians (even the spa menu was only in Italian). The air-conditioning in the room was not very strong and very noisy, but otherwise very nice room. "

"The staff was very friendly and pleasant."

"Quiet, friendly host"

"This place was wonderful! It was a very relaxing farm stay with an amazing dinner option! I would definitely stay here again."

"family owned and just lovely "

"Very friendly and location is peaceful and lovely "

"Villa Rita was more like a resort than a hotel. We enjoyed the pool and most of the meals. The proximity to the ruins and to the beach were important to us. One complaint: The method of choosing breakfast or dinner was confusing."

"If you plan to visit the ancient ruins at Paestum, then this hotel is the place to stay. We visited in week 41 - and enjoyed listening to the sound of the sea through the open door to the nice balcony, which had amazing view over Salerno bay with the Amalfi coast and Capri on the horizon. Great breakfast and dinner served by helpful and friendly staff. "
