"Great views! Staff were friendly, food was delicious. We missed lunch by 30 minutes but had bar food available. Amenities included an outdoor unheated pool, an indoor heated pool, sauna, steam room, and gym. Clean comfortable rooms. Bathroom was a little dated. Plenty of parking (other than we arrived during an event so lot was full). A solid, 4 star hotel! Would recommend if you are staying overnight in Nordeste."

"Hotel Gaivota is located in an outstanding location in Ponta Delgada for convenience to shopping, restaurants, the harbor, and the historic city center. It is also adjacent to a small grocery store that had premade dishes and space to eat outdoors. It was quicker and more affordable than some of the restaurants and food Can be purchase to prepare in the apartments. There is also a pharmacy very nearby and they were helpful in getting some medication for a cold. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful! They small apartments were spacious and had a wonderful balcony! I thought the breakfast times were excellent-until 10:30 am! The selections were varied each day and they included an à la carte menu. Parking is available for 10 Euros/day underground near the hotel. I would definitely return to Hotel Gaivota on a future trip to Ponta Delgada!"

"The property was excellent if you’re looking quiet and safe place to stay. The property is gated, it is outside of town so you will need a vehicle to get around. It is surrounded by gardens with beautiful flowers/trees. The room was spacious and included a lovely kitchenette (little fridge/freezer), you can cook your own meals. Bed was comfortable. Sheets & towels clean. And if you like cats, there are plenty roaming around. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

Santa Barbara Eco Beach Resort

"We spent an amazing week at the Santa Barbara Eco-Lodge! We were a group of 4 women (mom and 3 adult daughters). We had a beautiful suite overlooking the gardens and pond with ducks. The staff was amazing attending to every question we had. The resort is high on a cliff overlooking the ocean and beach with stunning views and beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed our daily breakfast with fresh juices, fruits and a wonderful selection of eggs, omelettes, and yogurt bowls. We also enjoyed a few dinners at the restaurant and nightcaps from the bar. The cute beach bar is an added bonus and was so fun to grab a cocktail and watch the sunset. Thank you for a wonderful time and we hope to be back."
