"The room was clean and warm, clean comfortable bed and with plenty of hot water in the shower. My only quibble would be that after my stay I had the whole day to spend in Scarborough and would have really appreciated a safe luggage room at the hotel. It meant I had to cart my overnight bag around with me which rather hampered my movement. On the other hand, the view from the terrace is spectacular and the hotel is slap bang next to the Tramway cars down to beach level. Which was nice."

Some parking at the hotel for £6 per night but on street parking in the immediate vicinity for £5 for 48 hours (pay at hotel - absolute bargain). Very good breakfast in a nice restaurant directly overlooking North Bay. If you book a sea view room, that really is what you’ll get. Very happy to recommend. For the price out of season, it’s excellent"

"Yes, these rooms are above a pub but you can’t hear any noise. The appointments were like that of a luxury hotel. The staff worked behind the bar at the pub for the most part and they were extremely responsive to any request. Not sure many tourists find their way to this particular town, but if you’re anywhere near Scarborough, this is the place to stay."

We received a email from bill the owner the night before about gaining access to the property and the code .my friend and o had a lovely stay the property is in a great location right next to st marys church and the centre of town. We would definitely stay at this property again . When next in Whitby xx"
