"My flight was delayed so I didn't make check in on my first night. When Expedia called to ensure the rest of the week reservations, without requesting a refund for the first night, the property cancelled the entire reservation and informed them that I would not receive a refund for the entire week. When I called to personally attempt a remedy, thee staff laughed. I sent an email and received no response. "Microtel- Janesville has a TON of TV channels to choose from which is wonderful BUT can someone explain to me why Fox News was the only channel muted out? You saw the screen but no sound. CNN was fine, MSNBC was fine, all other news channels and all other channels worked just fine...only FOX News didn't have sound. Why? Hmmmm. I will not go to this hotel again for this reason."

The door to the room was beat to hell, and greasy finger prints all over the inside of the door. Curtains were torn, floor turned my socks black. The bathroom faucet leaks all over the countertop, and the mold in the shower was too much to bear. The pillows were like pancakes, well past their useful life, and the thin towels smelled like pot. We stayed on the second floor and when we walked down the stairs, because there is no elevator, the smell of pot would hit you every time. If you have accessibility issues I hope they give you a first floor room becausethe stairs are steep and there is no elevator. I can live with an outdated room, but there was dirt and dust in many places...
