"If you like the Bristol Vibe you’ll love this Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy check in and out. Trendy bar/lounge area and bedroom very nicely appointed with very comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely en suite and nice toiletries and fluffy towels/ dressing gowns. Floors could have been cleaner as could Bar area. Convenient parking 5 mins walk away at Cabot Circus multi storey. Useful to note that the Hotel Entrance is on Cave Street ( off Portland Square) Not Portland Square itself."

"Clean and spacious room. Comfortable beds, no noise from the street. Very centrally located hotel, near restaurants, pubs and cafes. Good breakfast selection. Helpful and welcoming staff. Nothing negative to say - my partner and I really enjoyed our stay and would come back without any hesitation! "

"Checked in on Friday, and told that there was a half marathon on Sunday which meant we could not use the road from 7.30. That meant for us, really no point staying as would need to leave before that. So we checked out on Saturday - reception seemed to agree this was sensible and no other option. Then they would not agree refund - seems unreasonable to me."

"Request on Expedia form for early arrival was not communicated. Bathroom was not clean, loo unflushed. Wi fi was not given on arrival Phone contact to reception was not clear on the room phone When we dialled zero no one answered despite several attempts But A comfortable bed and sheets and handy phone charging Reception helpful "

"The room is good and of a reasonably high standard. There are however two major challenges. The room was on the top floor which from the car park is three flights of stairs. A lot when you’re carrying several large bags and clothes for a wedding. The second big issue is the hall lights on a sensitive room sensor. There is no way to switch this off or lights off. "During a 5 night stay twice the cleaning team overlooked cleaning our room. Parking arrangement very good. Overall the cooked breakfast was not hot. The quantity of pre/cooked eggs was excessive for the speed that they were required, and looked unappealing. Perhaps the hotel could consider cooking the eggs to order"

"The room was roomy and comfy, but there were some dusty spots on the surfaces in both the bedroom and bathroom. The cleaning staff could definitely use some more care . I was a little startled to find something curly and hairy on the bathroom counter when I checked in , but it turned out to be just an old eyelash. Additionally, the bath towels were old and stiff. On the positive side, breakfast was very good, with plenty of hot and cold, sweet and savory options to suit everyone’s preferences."

"The room was nice enough - standard layout and decor as you’d expect for a hotel du vin. Bathroom nice. Corridors looked a little tired but not too bad. Bar and lounge area were ok but nothing special. Terrace is fantastic- or at least the situation is. Served our purpose very well as a place to stay to go to a party nearby. Reception staff very helpful. "
