"Great hotel. Have been coming for years for an annual birthday night out with a group of friends. Guy at reception was very friendly, especially as we were concerned we may not be able to park there as no space, but did manage to in the end. Hotel is great...not the most modern, no, but homely and rooms have always been spacious, clean and welcoming. The bar/club is great for a night out. Would definitely recommend. Very close to town centre and beach too. Well done Royal Exeter!"

"Obviously an ex-Premierinn hotel, so all the comforts like the great beds. AC in the rooms and a great breakfast. Really good value for money and a short walk to the lovely beach!"

"Very helpful and friendly and clean. Very reasonable price to stay for the night in Bournemouth, Would definitely recommend the lodge if you are heading to Bournemouth. We went to see a concert at the pavilion, only a 15 minutes walk back to the hotel. "

"A very comfortable small room but adequate. Very nice breakfast and staff are truly amazing. Excellent location and neighbouring eateries. Major drawback is parking adjacent car park poorly maintained and not secure but very cheap £7 for 24 hours. BiC £22.50 for same period."

"The room was clean and bright with lovely air-conditioning which is very important in Summer. The breakfast was wonderful, I enjoyed it very much especially the waffle. Parking was safe as we needed a code to assess the parking area. "

"This is our second visit this year. Love the bed and having a balcony view our dog loves the hotel also. Car park is really secure and after checking out we could leave our car for a bit extra charge to visit the beach. Our meal was really good Staff at the hotel are all excellent they make you feel special. Definitely going back "

"Wonderful Family Stay – Highly Recommend! We had a fantastic two-night family break at the Cumberland Hotel. We booked a family room with a king-size bed and bunk beds, and used Tesco Clubcard points which was a great bonus. We arrived just before check-in, easily found parking, and were warmly welcomed.
