Overall it was an okay experience, will I go back, probably not. We never got a tour of the resort from our concierge, so we had to find everything ourselves. Our room was a bit falling apart, the bathroom door handle was falling off, that door also wouldn’t shut. The bathroom walls had quick “fix up” jobs that weren’t done well, chunks of shower wall stone missing, no blow dryer but patched up holes of where it used to be. The light on the fan didn’t work so our room was quite dark, but at night time we didn’t mind as our AC was amazing! Our family members in a different building had a nicer room but no AC, so I didn’t really want to complain! Also the floors in the room didn’t look clean, although I know the cleaning ladies mopped daily, but not sure how well they did it as my son’s feet were always dirty. He did wear shoes most of the time but sometimes he just didn’t want to (he’s 4 and has autism). The “doorstop” in the room was a dangerous piece of metal sticking out of the ground to stop the door from hitting the wall! Lastly, the pool did have some broken tiles in it, which I read about before we left so I bought water shoes, and the one day my daughter didn’t wear them, she cut her toe! So just be careful!
The staff was friendly and helpful! Chef Enrique and the server Leidey (pronounced as Lady) from the Selections buffet were always AMAZING! We always found something to eat. Bars were good too.The splash park was fun, and the beach was a trolley ride away!
