Hidden Treasure

The best resort on the Island. The room was exactly what you expect on a small island, basic but beautiful if you want to just relax. Food was excellent and so was the service. Highly recommend.

L’hôtel est sur la grand plage de Kecil. La structure est très bien entretenue, les chambres sont jolies, spacieuses et propres. Les transats sont très bien et confortable. La "portion" de plage est nettoyée tous les jours. Nous avons testé la garden villa et la beach villa et nous avons préféré la garden villa car elles des jolis petits jardins

Das Ressort ist wirklich toll, die Beachvilla war sauber und schön eingerichtet. Der Service im Restaurant und am Strand könnte noch verbessert werden aber im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften bestimmt eins der Besten auf der Insel.

Un gioiello alle Perhentian

Il Bubu Villa è fantastico, la struttura è ottima, noi avevamo il beach chalet n. 6 ed era speciale, con bagno tipico all’aperto e ben arredato all’interno. La colazione è divina, vi sono sia alimenti a buffet, che quelli espressi (consiglio pancake favoloso). Abbiamo pranzato e cenato per tutto il nostro soggiorno al Bubu Villa e devo dire che la cucina è ottima, abbiamo provato sia quella italiana, che malesiana, che alla griglia... tutto buonissimo. La possibilità di avere ombrelloni e lettini in spiaggia è una vera chicca, ve ne renderete conto quando ci andrete, sono gli unici su quella spiaggia ad averli, inoltre forniscono anche asciugamani cambiabili ogni giorno. Tutto lo staff è stato molto cortese e carino con noi, ma mi preme ricordare che la gestione italiana dei manager è strepitosa: Matilde e Ranieri sono persone squisite che cercano in ogni modo di farti sentire bene. Ah dimenticavo, molto apprezzati i cocktail offerti in spiaggia dalle 17. Insomma vale tutti i soldi spesi, è vero sarà un pizzico più caro delle altre strutture sull’isola, ma non c’è paragone. Consigliatissimo.

Best hotel in Kecil

Amazing hotel, very good room villa type and extraordinary staff service. Definitely the best hotel in Kecil island, great value for money. Same price level as another hotels in the area, such as Mimpi, but the quiality of the room and services are 100 times better in Bubu. 100% recomendable.

lovely rooms

The weather was against us so at first the boats were not running form the jetty to the island and this was made more stressful as the hotel does not take calls at the weekend so we were unable to ask for help. The BUBu desk at the jetty were able to reassure us once we found it, so I do not know why calls would not be directed to them as they were obviously open every day. The staff in the restaurant and bars were all very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the cocktails great-particularly the free 5pm one! It would be helpful if some information was given in the rooms like how to use the safe, air con etc. as we were only given brief information on arrival.

Amazing hotel, but...

Thanks to incompetent Bubu staff at the jetty that was supposed to arrange for us a transfer to the airport but managed to take us to the wrong airport, we not only missed our flight, had to purchase new tickets, lots time and lots of nerves but they managed to ruined and erase any nice memories we had from the holiday. So I do not remember anymore the nice beach (although a bit spoiled with too many water taxis and petrol smell), crystal clear water, very friendly and attentive Bubu Villas manager, friendly and smiley staff at the property, clean and comfy rooms that are definitely the best ones at the island... these potential beautiful memories where ruined on our way back... we got the boat transfer to the jetty in Besut, where BuBu "ground staff"asked as for our flight number and departure time. We undenied the time and the departure airport. We were informed that we can get some lunch and a taxi will be waiting for us at 2pm to take us to the airport. Great... how wrong we were. After one hour drive we started to be worried as the surroundings did not look like Kuala Terranganu. We asked the driver (who spoke almost no English) and were informed that we are going to another airport that is 3h drive from Kuala Terranganu... so we were about to miss the flight as there was no option to get to the right airport on time... luckily our layover in KL was long enough so we were not in danger of missing the flight to London...

Good stay

Service of staff and quality of food are excellent. The problem is terrible noise of night club located just 10m away from hotel. They play a loud speaker until 3 AM on weekend. My room No. was 1. it locate only besides night club. If you can choose room, it is better to avoid room No.1 or No.2. on weekend. The condition of room was good but some overpriced. If you have to use wifi at night time, choose room No.1. That room was so noisy due to the music sound but you can catch wifi signal in room.

Perhentian nel cuore

La struttura é perfetta per l'isola sulla quale si trova. Noi abbiamo soggiornato in una delle nuove camere e ci siamo trovati benissimo. La pulizia é impeccabile, lo spazio a disposizione é tanto e il comfort é assicurato. La colazione é a buffet e il personale é semplicemente meraviglioso e sempre molto disponibile. La gerenza grazie a Ranieri é altrettanto meravigliosa :) Noi abbiamo soggiornato ad inizio giugno per 4 notti e ci siamo sentiti veramente coccolati da tutti. La spiaggia ed il mare sono un incanto in questo periodo, inoltre non abbiamo avuto problemi di sovraffollamento né in spiaggia né nei vari ristorantini presenti sulla stessa. Se potessimo ci ritorneremmo subito domani

Lovely but used to be better

This is the second time we've stayed in the villas and it is a lovely place to be. There have been, however, some noticeable changes which put a slight dampener on our experience this time. While the rooms are really comfortable, spacious and in a great location next to the beach with a fantastic restaurant, the quality seems to have dropped in terms of some staffing members and their abilities to resolve other issues, maintainence of the villa and absence of advertised wifi. When we checked in, the glasses in the bathroom were dirty and when we informed the staff we were told that they were only for your toothbrush so it's ok, the aircon didn't work and having been assisted by one member of staff we were told it was broken - no solution given until we approached another member of staff and only certain numbers on the safe were useable. We were also overcharged by around £20 on our final bill at checkout - something we still need to raise with management. Having said that, another member of staff ensured we changed rooms so everything we how it should be at £120 a night. The restaurant is lovely and the serving staff there are brilliant. The food is amazing and they even waited for us one night to come back and eat when we had gone to another place in search for wifi before coming back to eat (and we had arrived back late). The massages are also brill! It's a great place and I do hope they maintain the standard as it would be such a shame for it to go down the pits.

relax sulla spiaggia

Sicuramente è il miglior hotel sulla piccola isola (ed anche il più costoso). Il soggiorno è stato molto gradevole, era l'inizio della stagione, quindi poca gente e ci hanno fornito la villa più grande e molto vicino al mare. Il manager italiano e tutto lo staff è carino e disponibile, il ristorante è buono ed i cocktail offerti tra le 5 e le 7 di sera sono stati gradevoli. l'unica cosa che quando dovevamo partire la mattina presto, ci avevano organizzato la barca, ma la persona del personale non si è presentata, quindi dovevamo arrangiarci da soli ed in realtà rischiavamo di perdere l'aereo. Però ci siamo riusciti, e la vacanza è stata molto piacevole. Il posto è da consigliare.

Basic room, not worth it!

Basic room without anything special. Service was very bad at the restaurant. For same price ( quite high) could have better deal!
