"We paid a premium price for a very standard room. Double bed with hard pillows. Very dated in the decor and furnishings. I was disappointed with the whole experience. Set menu for the evening was very pricy and was underwhelming. Breakfast was what saved the day, nice ingredients, great selection. Staff were friendly."

"On our return to the hotel this time we were greeted with a warm welcome from Wellington the night receptionist who depite our late arrival was very helpful. Stewart the Manager and the whole team went out of their way to make us feel at home with every need taken care of. We will look forward to our next visit."

"Charming hotel in tranquil setting but with very easy access to major road networks. We were a bit worried that the hotel might be noisy but even after a large prom event all was very peaceful and quiet by 11.30pm. Staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was very spacious, tastefully appointed and had a very comfy bed. Would definitely return."

"The staff, especially Reception and a young blonde-haired lady who had only been there about 3 weeks were exceptional. Having the bar & the restaurant on the top floor is a bit odd, but it is comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very poor as was the quality of the wine. The gentleman acting as Maitre was brusque, untidy and unwelcoming. We booked our table for 7 and were prompt. But he wanted us to have courses in rapid succession. When we asked for a pause his response was that it was...
