"First we were given a room thatsmelled smoking. The room was changed but the new room had a cockroach in the carpet. And the blower did not worked in the bathroom. No airport transfer nor to the metro station like other hotels in the area."

"I got as far as driving into the neighborhood and decided it did not feel safe and would not be comfortable parking my vehicle. I drove the 2.5 hours home rather than stay there"

"The breakfast was wonderful, as was the staff running the breakfast! The coffee machines, giving each a person a fresh cup, one cup at a time was slow, and caused backups. I’d rather have a coffee decanter. The rooms were nice, and I love having unending supply of soaps and lotion. The he bed was too soft for my husband, but I slept fine!"

"Parking was not easy. It was advertised as free parming and the explanation made it seem simple enough but finding free street parking in the area is not easy and you co stantly have to move your vehicles."

"Lovely room. Helpful staff. The bar and food on offer were limited. We had just one evening meal - a lasagna and had to send it back to be reheated as it wasn’t hot in the middle. Snacks , pizza, BLT sandwiches were good. The situation close to the super path along the bay was brilliant for people like us who love walking but there are no bars, restaurants or food outlets near and you have to get the subway into Boston - the subway station 5 mins walk away. "It was a nice, clean room. We enjoyed the breakfasts and the unlimited access to tea and coffee, and the pool was clean. The only minor downside was that we were assigned a corner room situated closer to the street intersection; starting at 7:00 AM, emergency vehicles with sirens were constantly passing by. However, earplugs were provided in the room—a thoughtful touch that showed excellent care for the guests. Thank you!"

"Great location in the Back Bay, close to Newbury Street. Rooms are clean but a bit dated. Great value since the hotels in the area are otherwise very pricey. They are very clear with their rules, obviously from lessons learned from previous guests. So if you are good following rules, this can be a good choice."

"The location is great, very close to all the nice shops on Exeter street, just across from the Boston Public Library. The staff were excellent, very helpful and polite. Be aware the hotel is an older property and they have chosen to maintain the same esthetic, so it has that old school hotel vibe. Bed was super comfortable, A/C was very cold, liked the pillow, had bathrobes, ironing board and iron for guest use. Big bathroom with a tub."

"This was an interesting hotel and if you have any experience of the raffles brand elsewhere then I would recommend be prepared. The venue is central but overlooking an 8storey multi story car park and rather cramp rooms was not really value add. The suite on the other hand in higher floors were. A butler system which I must say working off some mediocre phone prompts just doesn’t cut it .
