From the moment we arrived, it was a bit of a letdown. I asked about the pool (the Hilton main page says the hotel has an indoor pool) and was told it is not in service. The hot tub seen in some of the photos has not existed in 15 years.
We checked in to a room on the 14th floor, and when we opened the door, we were met with a blast of hot air. The room was about 95 to 100 degrees. The climate control was set to 72 degrees, but the heat was blasting out of the unit non stop. I called the front desk and asked for a room change or a technician to service the unit. I was told no rooms were available, and to just "shut off the climate control unit and open the window." The front desk told me "if you get too cold, turn the heat back on." It took hours for the room to cool off enough to sleep, as the window only opens three inches. Every surface in the room was hot to the touch when we arrived. We spent two nights with the heat turned off. We went down to the restaurant to eat at around 8:30 PM, and were told that the restaurant only had the "lunch menu" available due to recent kitchen renovations. The bar couldn't make a mojito.
When we checked out after our second night, only one of the three elevators was functioning and every floor had groups of people waiting to enter the elevator.
For the price, it was a nightmare. I was charged for parking each night $69, and then the automated gate charged me an additional $114 that I had to pay with a card.
