"This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. "We stayed in the Barn. The facility is just across the road from the main hotel. We found the room exceptionally clean, cosy, modern and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was superb. Evening meal was great too. Cannot fault it! "

"The quality of everything was excellent. This hotel deserves its 4 stars. The customer service was first class, their knowledge and expertise, with food and drinks are visible in every detail. The decor is warm and welcoming, the wood burner was constantly tended makings the lounge areas cozy and warm. There is a welcoming atmosphere and I highly recommend."

"From checking in the staff are friendly, parking onsite, Breakfast was amazing, hot and everything you need. The only thing for me was the bathroom wasn't in the room, when I booked it did say private bathroom so presumed it was in the room. Would definitely stay again."
