Great if you like a firm (Hard) bed.

Fantastic place to stay, great breakfast. My only issue was that the bed in room 19 is very hard. Room spotless and everything else about the stay 1st class.

Business stay for 1 night. Evening meal was great as was the huge breakfast. Unfortunately the wifi was extremely poor, which for a business trip is not good, room was not very clean and only handwash in the bathroom

2 night stay

Just a 2 night stay. Small room with a small bath room. Plenty drawers and hangers enough plug sockets but no usb outlets. Breakfast is ok no more. Restaurant food is very very good and not silly prices. Overall we loved our stay small room but short of nothing with good but small shower. We will stay again but the restaurant is worth a visit

Very pleasureable overnight stay. Only had lunch and breakfast as we were meeting family during stay, but next time will stay for an evening meal. Food we had had excellent. Rooms basic but clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Very enjoyable stay, staff very good in reception and resteraunt. Rooms comfortable but could hear everything in corridors. Food really good breakfast and dinner. Parking plenty of space, and wifi good. Overall very happh with stay.

The room & bed was comfortable, spacious and great views over the river Wyre. Check in was straight forward and very quick with easy parking. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Service wasn’t great. No smiles and it looked like all the waiting staff were fed up. Despite taking our orders promptly, our breakfasts came but with no tea that they had simply just forgotten about. Despite serving us our food, they didn’t notice there wasn’t anything to drink. Yet when we looked around everyone else got their tea or coffee before the food- so shows they are not attentive and just robotically serving. The food was ok but just average. But all in all it was a comfortable stay and the pricing is competitve.

VERY ENJOYABLE

My friend time at the Shard Riverside and it won’t be my last. Nice comfortable room, amazing view (did book a room with a river view), breakfast cooked to order and was superb, friendly efficient staff. What’s not to like.

A break in UK summer

Weather was not to kind to us but this hotel and the staff gave everything so we could enjoy our break away. Evening meal was lovely along with the breakfast which was amazing. We only had a double bed which although comfy didn’t give us much room not sure now if we could’ve got a king size but would deffo book one next time if we return

The hotel is in an amazing position, which is quiet and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful in fact couldn’t do enough for us, because of this we didn’t want to spoil the trip by saying the room which was sold as a deluxe double really wasn’t. Very basic actually. The view was of the car park with a view if you hung you head out of the window. It was in need of an update in most areas, cleaning was present daily towels changed, the confetti in the room was disappointing as we weren’t members of a wedding party- Having said this we still had a relaxing stay at the hotel with a big salute to all the amazing staff we encountered.

Ok location, uncomfortable bed and poor cleaning.

Had booked two nights. Room was ordinary with a view to the carpark and a partial view to the river,m. The bed was quite uncomfortable - fairly narrow and hard. After the first night we did have someone in the room - apparently to clean it… but the trash bag was left on the bed, the towels had not been replaced, and the desk has not been cleaned. So not sure what they did (apart from moving the trash bag from the bin to the bed). The breakfast was ok. Cereals, juice, etc. and a choice between pancakes, an English breakfast or a vegetarian breakfast. Location was nice - next to the tidal river and close to where we needed to be.

A nice riverside location. Small but clean room with a nice view of the river. While at dinner ordered the hamburger WITH NO ONIONS and the chicken burger. After ordering was told they didn't have that specific chicken burger but they could do something else. Fine. The chicken burger came ZERO seasoning or flavor, besides the overwhelming fish flavor from the fish batter. And the hamburger came, literally onions throughout the entire meat. Not super impressed with how that was handled.
