"Very clean room, I enjoyed using the Highland Soap Company products in the bathroom. Plentiful water/tea/biscuits supplied during our stay - real taste of the highlands. Breakfast was delicious at the restaurant located within the hotel.
Convenient store just 1 minute walk from the hotel which is well stocked with regular supermarket items. Parking out front of the hotel was easy to access but did get busy at times, I was able to find parking down the street. Overall really lovely hotel worth...

"I had an amazing stay at Hame Hotel on the Isle of Skye. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and well organized, making our stay very easy. The location is stunning and very central for exploring the island. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. They have a great common area with an honesty bar that is well stocked.
The food was a highlight - we had all of our breakfasts and dinners at the hotel, and every meal was delicious with a great view of the mountains!
I will most...

"Overall we enjoyed our stay at Uig Hotel. The hotel was a convenient place to stay while on the Isle of Skye. We were grateful to have a restaurant for dinner one night and easy breakfasts the next 2 mornings before doing our tour.
The hotel seems a bit older but the rooms were clean and comfortable."
"Everything was good except the door.
The door was not anti slam. Each time a neighbour went in and out, the door was slammed order to close, woke me up a few of times, otherwise everything was good. Thanks."
"The guesthouse is situated just outside of Portree in a beautiful small village. It is a brand new establishment, has four rooms out of them only 2 are operational, it is spotlessly clean with the most comfortable beds and bed linens. The host is very friendly and helpful but also gives lots of space and there is a total separation between their house and the guests area. Continental Breakfast is complete with all we needed. The price was best value for money for August in Skye. Highly recommend."
"We had 2 rooms booked here. The staff was friendly, the place is very cozy with a beautiful water facing property. We did not get a chance to eat lunch or dinner at the restaurant, but the breakfast had a lot of variety and was great! The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. We stayed here 2 nights to explore Skye! I highly recommend Kings arms!"

Parking out front of the hotel was easy to access but did get busy at times, I was able to find parking down the street. Overall really lovely hotel worth the hefty pricetag given its location - would definitely return again if I visit Portree.
Only downside was that there was no lift, but luckily we packed light."
"This is a great, low-budget option that is family-friendly, clean, and quiet. Staff were all super friendly. The hostel is centrally located and across the street from a large, inexpensive car park. Everything in Portree is a short walking distance away.
We stayed in a private room for 2 nights. The bathroom and shower are small and the water pressure is suitable for an elephant, which is great, but the shower head would not stay put and the pole it was attached to kept falling off, which we simply laughed about. I assume anyone expecting absolute perfection would look for a much more expensive hotel option. We were quite happy with the hostel and would definitely recommend it to others. Thank-you!"
Hostels are a great way to stay for a good value, so you can save your money for going out. The island views create an appealing natural setting, and you can enjoy attractions like the waterfront.
