nice having the activities and four pines on site, facilities inside the room are basic but clean, a little dated but was perfect for our one night stay.
The staff at the reception was great, nice and courteous. The room was ok however the bathroom was not clean at all. We found hair on the wall and little spiders. I could understand the spidera but the hairs not really.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Staff were very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was excellent for breakfast wide range with great coffee. Outlook just beautiful to sit and have a wine on the patio. The venue is close to lots of wineries so a great place to base yourself and explore the Hunter Vally
A fantastic location with plenty of activities to keep kids, young and old, occupied. The staff are excellent, really welcoming and make you feel right at home. The view from 4 pines is amazing and definitely a must do for dinner and sunset! The rooms are very spacious and clean, if a little tired but it adds to the rustic charm. Parking is plentiful. Wish I had stayed longer!
We stayed one night in the Spa Cottage for a Wedding nearby. It was spacious & clean. Very quiet & reception was very welcoming & accommodating. Would definately stay here again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was clean and tidy. We paid luxury price and it did not deliver. The grounds were stunning but you can appreciate them from the Brewery for free. To stay there, it was not worth the price. Friendly staff, clean room, not luxury.
We went there for my birthday weekend and had a great time there with the wine tasting, walking trails, horse rides and just spending a quite relaxed time with the family.
Overall a great experience.
It was amazing peaceful would definitely recommend to my friends and family. Staff are wonderful and very friendly. Segway and winery tour guides were amazing. Food and alcohol was so delicious
Absolutely loved this property. The staff were so welcoming and the room was just what we needed - the mattress was DIVINE! We watched the movie about Wine Making and had a wine tasting experience that was not only tasty but educational. Everything we needed was right there on the property and I highly recommend.
Great place and staff, resort accomodation looking a bit tired . Rooms need a tidy up and bathrooms are little dated.
But of a revamp and would be a brilliant resort.
Cottages were dirty, and extremely run down. In need of a lot of maintenance. Greeted at reception with a sticky note to say screen doors broken treat it carefully. Water pressure almost non existent. It was hard to have a decent shower. Hand basins had a trickle of water. Verandah steps broken. Cocktails were good and bar staff friendly. Meals were very average. Breakfast staff inexperienced and unfriendly.
Reception staff simply accepted keys when checking out, no chat as in I hope you enjoyed your stay or safe travels home. I was hopeful the online reviews matched the experience. Sadly not the case. Would never stay there again.
Hunter Valley Resort is a really nice little property in the Hunter Valley wine region. It's geared more towards families but we loved the working farm atmosphere with all the animals and more "down to earth" feel of the place.
We stayed in one of the cottages and though they are a bit on the older side, they are very comfortable and good value for money especially compared to some of the more "uppity" wineries in the area.
We really enjoyed that the property has access to a number of nice walking trails you can take directly from your doorstep and we took full advantage of them during our stay with plenty of kangaroos, cows and cockatoos to keep us company along the way.
The 4-Pines restaurant was fantastic with superb food and service.
This was a trip with friends and we had a stay in a Hunter room. The room was comfy with all we needed for an overnight stay. The room was overlooking a grassy area and tennis courts, with a nice private courtyard to sit in and enjoy the view. We used the pool which our kids said was a little cold, but to be expected for the time of year. It was clean with some sunloungers for us to make the most of the great weather. The free session learning about wine making followed by wine tasting was a great touch and the staff member conducting that was very informative and funny. On site there are various activities you can partake in. The farm yard was basic but fabulous and the kids (and us!) loved the friendly animals. We went on a horse trek and the staff could not have been any more helpful, it was stunning scenery and really enjoyable. We'd definitely return.
