"We had a fabulous stay at Casa Oasis. The building is beautiful and our room, including the bed, was very comfortable and beautifully appointed. The owners, George and Sarah, live on site and are very personable and helpful. The manager Aaron was very communicative and arranged an excellent tour to Chichén Itzá that included swimming in a cenote and also arranged in house massages. "A peaceful, relaxing oasis with a beautiful pool/ courtyard area and comfortable rooms decorated in a traditional style. The homemade breakfasts were incredible and more than substantial. Easy walk to town center, shopping and restaurants (but without the noise of the city). George, Sarah and Aaron were always available and very helpful. "This place is yet another hidden gem in the beautiful city of Merida! Right on the main gastronomic district street (Calle 47) near Centro and Paseo de Montejo. "We had an excellent stay at Villa Orquidea and still had more places on our list after a week in Merida. Our hosts Griselda, Sonia & Denise were very helpful with ideas for restaurants, things to see and private drivers. There are so many good restaurants! Breakfast was delightful including home-made banana bread, though we mostly ate light. "
