"It’s a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. The pool is great, and there are hammocks beneath the coconut trees, perfect for unwinding. The air conditioning works well, though there’s no refrigerator in the room. Still looking forward to trying the continental breakfast, but expectations are high."

"Hotel El Manglar is maybe my most favorite hotel EVER! The grounds are beautiful!! The staff is so kind and helpful. Dylan and Georgia at the front desk were just incredible! The beach is stunning and the private path to the beach is magical! Our villa was comfortable and very clean. It had a king size bed, large shower, nice little kitchen and sitting area. Both the sitting area and kitchen had French doors that opened to the porch. We enjoyed our Costa Rican coffee and banana bread each...

"Warm, friendly staff and beautifully landscaped layout with multiple structures around a central pool and open-air restaurant and bar. We enjoyed swimming daily, dining at the restaurant multiple nights and walking down the hill to the beach that was quiet and perfect for us. If we are ever in this area again, we would return here because of the excellent service. If you end up staying elsewhere in the area, we noticed many couples came up just to enjoy the restaurant also. "
