"Lovely hotel, bit out in the sticks but great for a peaceful retreat. Problems entering the room wasn’t dealt with terribly well but eventually we sorted it. We had a steep winding staircase in our room, whilst very pretty, at 83 with an injured leg would have been useful to know in advance. Also no plug sockets at all on the bed level so the alarm had to be set downstairs … and turned off via the rather steep stairs. Lovely place."

"The buffet breakfast had every option to be desired. Staff was helpful. Hotel is situated in a quiet area. If you’re coming from the US don’t forget a plug adapter AND step down transformer. There is a bus stop close by to get into the city or most things are a 30-60 minute walk. Irons are not in the rooms but in a designated area or available upon request."

"This is a great place to stay in Florence! It is a very small hotel with no lobby or desk, so better if you are comfortable on your own. My room was beautiful with a balcony to enjoy the morning sun and do some work. There is a common room with self-serve coffee and tea and a small refrigerator. My only confusion was at check in as there is not a sign at the residence. Once I contacted the hotel, I was promptly greeted by Simmeone (spelling) who was so friendly and even had recommendations for good places to go for a run. Also very prompt with questions. Room had great AC, was beautiful, tea and coffee in room, and very clean. Highly recommend"

"We had a wonderful stay at FH55 in Fiesole!! Wow-what a spectacular view of Florence from the property which is up in the hills, NE from the city. Our room was beautiful and was well-stocked with anything we might need. But besides the view, our favorite feature was the breakfast they provided every morning. It was top-notch!! And there was a bus stop right by the property to take you into Florence. We cannot recommend more highly!"

"The hotel is a wonderful and unique experience. The staff service was amazing. Two things that could be improved. It would be great if the recharging technology for phones and other electronics was up to par. Ideally there should be USB outlets scattered throughout the rooms. And finally, I asked the front desk to order a taxi and then I realize the shuttle driver was leaving in three minutes and so when I went to cancel the Taxi, I was charged €20 because he was already on the way. There should be a way for the Hotel of this quality and importance to be able to negotiate with taxi drivers and cancel the service without payment by the customer. Anyhow, that is my feeling. Have a wonderful day."
