The biggest issue we had was that our children came down with food poisoning and got incredibly sick during our stay. Physically ill all over the room at 2am. Not the hotel's fault and we were ready to clean everything up ourselves. Unfortunately, when we went to the front desk to ask for supplies (paper towels, trash bags, cleaner, etc) to clean up the vomit, we were told no multiple times but the front desk clerk. We resorted to using all the towels in the room and soap from the shower. We cleaned the floors, the walls, etc. We stripped the now dirty sheets off the beds, gathered all the dirty towels, and put them in the hallway until the morning. We cleaned everything we could with what was available. When we checked out, we were charged extra for the dirty linens that we HAD to use to clean because the front desk clerk refused to give us anything else. It seems the hotel would rather we had just slept in the vomit covered room until housekeeping arrived in the morning.
The hotel should also reevaluate having rooms not only right next to the front desk/lobby but also between there and house keeping. Whether it was guests coming and going at all hours of the night or housekeeping arriving to start cleaning, we were woken up throughout the night and early (before 8am) every day.
One plus was that at least the beds were comfortable.
