"Lovely hotel, friendly "

"We were visiting friends so only stayed 1 night. Room was clean and bed comfy. Breakfast was really nice. Full English beautifully cooked and perfect poached eggs! "

"The place was very popular with locals so parking was a bit awkward, we arrived after 6pm and there wasn’t much room to park. Maybe one criticism would be there isn’t reserve parking for staying guests and after travelling 140 odd miles and to be faced with hunting a parking space was as I said a little awkward. But that shouldn’t take away from what was a nice place to visit great food and a generous breakfast, clean room comfy bed."

"Property clean and convenient to Seaham. Two short flights of stairs to rooms with 3 sets of doors to go through. No lift and no help to get luggage to room. Registration at bar and staff was busy with patrons so check in and out took time. Parking on site. Security good. "

"The room we were staying, the decor was tired - not worthy of a 4 star hotel unfortunately. Upon arrival, wardrobe door was hanging off hinges, the wifi receiver box was hanging of the wall - room was also very dark. Pointed out wardrobe door to concierge and they had it fixed the next day, but should have been done before guest arrival - tables in hallway tired and peeling off. The staff was friendly though, especially in the breakfast room. Breakfast had a good choice."

"Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. "In the description it stated self parking included, washer and dryer. There was no parking. We had to park in a structure 10 + minutes away at an additional $10 cost. There was only a washing machine, and the machine was not hooked up to the water. After contacting the owner, they did not know why it was not hooked up, and when asked about the dryer, stated there was no dryer, places do not have dryers. My husband had to look at the washing machine and noticed it was not hooked up to...
