"Friendly staff at check-in. Really nice and clean room. Air conditioning was fully working and kept the room at a suitable temperature to get a good night sleep. No noise from outside even though in the centre of the city and above the train station. Easy parking at the nearby Greenmarket car park, discount on parking when checking out if you validate ticket at the hotel. Will definitely book again when visiting the area."

"Top-notch. Was initially concerned because there was no fridge in the room—am traveling w/ meds that require refrigeration. Staff were on it: fridge was delivered to my room in 5 minutes—and they kept my re-usable ice packs in their freezer. So helpful w/ transportation, etc. Dinner was lovely—nice to have a decent restaurant right on-site—but there’s a large supermarket adjacent to the property as well. Beds were comfy. Really appreciate the hospitality. Thanks."

Scone Arms Hotel

Scone Arms Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Best place we stayed during our 2 weeks in Scotland! The staff is extraordinary! They run the hotel and bar, so you can find them in the bar if they aren’t at reception. It’s a small village bar with a lot of regular locals who took us in like we were family. The staff facilitated including us into the conversation. If you want to soak up the culture and even make some friends, this is the place to do it. The beds were also the most comfortable we’ve had in Scotland. It was very quiet in the hotel and the extra amenities like a safe and robe and water in the fridge were so thoughtful. There’s no lift, so you have to walk up stairs to all but one room, but the stairs aren’t too steep and weren’t a problem for my 78 year old mom who walks with a cane. Breakfast was soooooooo good — again, it was probably the best we had during our trip. The homemade shortbread that goes with tea is AMAZING! The only thing I’d say to avoid is the beef Wellington. The beef was extraordinarily tough (I couldn’t chew half of it) and the pastry was not fully cooked, but the au jus and the veggies were exceptional! I highly recommend this hotel and I will be back, but I’ll stay several days longer next time!"
