Hotels near Paycockes

"No food Monday or Tuesday, the only food available is a Chinese in the village that doesn't take card (cash only). Not sure about other rooms but room 4 the Internet is terrible on all the networks and no phone signal either. Room is not made up or restocked during the day. The pub car park is small and the patrons seem to abaddon their vehicles all over the place which mean you can't get parked. There is a fridge in your room🌟 Would I stay again 🤔 doubt that very much. I wish the owners well but lots of niggles that mean your stay ends up unsatisfactory. "

"Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room with breakfast hamper. Nice village location. Very nice restaurant, great for evening dinner. Parking via village carpark nearby."

"Arrived and seem to take an age to check in.... Then got to the room and an immediate power cut. Not the hotels fault, and took over an hour to get back on. Manager was very apoligetic. TV in a real stange place, bathroom was clean and looked refitted but...low quality fitting... strange! All worked ok, Kettle was corded, which meant i needed to take it all to fill it with water. Bed was clean and comfy and once the heater got to temp not too bad."

"Free parking made this the ideal place to stay the night before an early morning flight from Stansted. Everything you would expect from a Holiday Inn. "

"Nice clean room, bathroom was above average, breakfast was below average but the evening meal was way above average well cooked, i went for a meal on the Indian menu. "

"Lovely modern room with plenty of space for two people. Coffee machine was a big plus for me, with the downside being the shower (electric and not very powerful), but I would happily stay here again ✅."
