"We enjoyed our time at this beautiful resort which made a great base for exploring the west side of the island. The room, pools, beach area, restaurants and helpful staff combined for a wonderful stay. We split our time on Madeira between Funchal and Calheta which gave us two different, but equally great experiences and allowed us to more easily explore the entire island."

"Nice resort hotel in the North West of Madeira, perfectly located for the natural pools. As an added bonus you get access to unlimited free day passes into the pools that require a paid ticket. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. We had a friend call ahead (unknown to us) to tell them it was our honeymoon and they gave us a free bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture. The restaurant is fantastic ,with gorgeous views and great food. We had a brilliant view over-looking the ocean from our room balcony too. The property itself feels more like a beach resort than a luxury hotel, which is not problem but just something to bear in mind depending on what you're looking for. A couple features are a little dated and could use a spruce up. The rooftop pool is incredible and comes with 2 daybeds plus a handful of sun-loungers and umbrellas. On busy days however these get taken up so they could do with some more chairs up there. They do have parking but it's a tiny lot so we ended up on the street each day, which was free, but the street does get busy during the day with tourists coming up for the pools. The room was a great size and came with robes and slippers. All in all we had a great stay, and really appreciated the staff and all their help!"

"Lovely location and room sea view was spectacular over the rock pools which were lovely to swim in. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and also gave us a packed breakfast/lunch when we had to head out early on tours. The roof top pool, sauna and jacuzzi were lovely to relax in at the end of a packed day. Only downside is the infrequent public transport to Funchal so you will need to catch Bolts so end up pricey. If you have a hire car it’s an ideal location Loved this 5 night holiday in Madeira"
