This is a unique property spread over several acres of vineyards. There are multiple units to choose from & we stayed in the cottage. This was a lovely independent stone cottage overlooking the sea with a loft bedroom, kitchen and living room. It was a very special stay during our time on Madeira & we can’t recommend it enough. We had dinner at their restaurant - which was phenomenal & your stay also includes a wonderful breakfast buffet with lots of choices. There are two lovely pools that overlook the ocean. And at night, the place is so peaceful. We would definitely stay here again as it was so memorable.

Relaxing stay in cottage

Great property to get away and properly relax. Little shop at top of steep hill was perfect to get essentials to make your own or have drinks by the cottage. Drinks/ food limited otherwise by pool and need to be requested at reception. The adjoining restaurant was fantastic so highly recommend booking. There was wine tasting available on certain days but didn’t suit or travel plans. Their Madeira wine was delicious. Great location to branch out to different areas around this side of island.

The room was nice and spacious. We had a cobbled floor in the room which was hard to walk on and felt less hygienic. The pools are quite small. The bathroom jacked an extractor fan do the walls were very wet after using the shower. The bathroom floor was not well drained so remained wet until after the dealers had been. Tea and coffee making facilities were inadequate. We were not shown the communal rooms on arrival (lounge areas) and did not discover these till later in our stay. There are very few facilities close to the hotel. There are steep elites and steps on the site so not suitable fit people with mobility issues. We felt like we were tolerated as an add on to the vineyard rather than valued guests

A quaint historical farmhouse type property situated in a vineyard, with great views of the sea. Recommended friendly restaurant and breakfast, offering top quality local produce. Car is essential for exploration of area, especially the amazing levada and mountain walks. Easily accessible on the main road, (except a slightly tricky steep entrance, that is not too obvious) A unique and relaxing stay in village setting away from the tourist bustle of Madeira.

Nous avons apprécié de séjourner dans un cottage qui était très bien aménagé et disposait en plus d'un espace extérieur d'une terrasse au niveau de la mezzanine.La position de ce cottage fait qu'il n'y avait que très peu de passage. Les extérieures sont soignés. Le petit déjeuner est complet.Nous avons dîner quelques soirs au restaurant qui propose une cuisine inventive. Seul bémol la réception est juste un petit bureau et aucune aide n'est proposée pour les bagages.

Idyllisk oplevelse

Idyllisk lille vingård med de fineste hytter til gæster. Vi nød 2 overnatninger i en hytte med den fineste udsigt til vinmarker og havde en dejlig oplevelse på stedets restaurant den ene aften i smuk solnedgang - husk at reserver bord med det samme. Stedet er lidt rustikt hvilket matchede omgivelserne perfekt.

Hier hat wirklich alles gepasst. Geschmackvolle Appartments mit viel Privatsphäre, tolle Anlage mit schönem Poolbereich und Meerblick. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet im wunderschönen Garten. Auch der Restaurantbereich ist traumhaft gelegen und man genießt beim Abendessen den Meerblick inmitten der Weinberge.

Une très belle propriété... pas toujours calme

Nous ne sommes restés qu'une seule nuit à la Quinta das Vinhas. La propriété est superbe, l'emplacement avec un panorama à couper le souffle et le séjour tout confort (literie, piscines, transats...) Excellent petit déjeuner. Deux bémols : le manque de personnel pour s'occuper des convives. Par exemple, le dîner au restaurant était sans fin. Autre bémol, nous aurions apprécié d'être au calme pendant la matinée pour récupérer de notre randonnée de la veillle et profiter de la tranquillité du site. Hélas, l'entreprise d'entretien des espaces verts était aussi de passage cette matinée, avec tondeuse, débrousailleuse et autres machines bruyantes... nous avons fuit le bruit!

Le repos entre vignoble et océan

La quinta das Vinhas est une demeure agricole du 17ème siècle propriété viticole sur les hauteurs de Calheta La vue est splendide sur les vignes et l’océan en contre bas Deux jolies piscines pour le repos et un bon restaurant pour dîner sur place Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables Le petit déjeuner pourrait être amélioré
