"We stayed at The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace during our Udaipur visit and overall had a very pleasant experience. The biggest highlight is the location and architecture — a true royal palace with panoramic views of Fateh Sagar Lake and the Aravalli hills. The room was comfortable, and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. Food at the restaurant was good, especially breakfast with a wide selection. The property is maintained, though a few areas could benefit from renovation due to its age....

"Ein wirklich sehr tolles Hotel. Wir hatten eine Suite gebucht und waren rundum zufrieden. Das Personal hat einem quasi die Wünsche von den Lippen abgelesen. Das Rooftop-Restaurant war eines der schönsten in Udaipur. Kleine Randbemerkung: Es handelt sich hier um ein vegetarisches Restaurant; was aber in Udaipur nicht selten ist."

"Staff was not able to help during stay for extra bed. On expedia, it was showing us that 3 person can easily sleeps on king size bed. But hotel staff want us to pay extra for one more kid. Which was absurd . We paid extra for that. Overall experience for property was nice including rooms and food."

"Many things in the room were broken: AC, hairdryer, water temperature. The pool also had issues so that we couldn’t use it. The staff the the reception was very nice but the rest of the staff didn’t understand English properly. The location was very central but the last few meters to the hotel had dark corners. The hotel staff can also bring you and pick you up for this part. "

"We enjoyed our stay. This hotel is in the hustle and bustle of the old town. The staff and manager couldn’t be more helpful. The Aircon was good in the bedroom. The roof top restaurant was nice and food was excellent. The building had charm and character. It had been beautifully restored and the furniture was in keeping with its heritage. "View from the room was best i could ever get. Room was clean. Staff was friendly, gone beyond to fulfill the needs of the guests. Hotel is on a great great location. Just a minute away from lake pichola. You could see the lake, the ghat, the pichola market from your balcony. The size of the room was also pretty big. Overall 11/10. "
