Quaint place to stay in Paris

Great spot in the 5th arrondisement in Paris, relatively close to all the good stuff with solid transportation options. Cute older hotel, small but clean.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel de l'Esperance! Our room was nice and clean and a good size for my two friends and I. The neighborhood was very nice. Lots of restaurants around and it was close to a metro stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Fantastic hotel

A great hotel hidden away in the Latin quarter near great restaurants and central Mouffetard. Room was small but comfortable and accommodated two of us and a baby in the cot. Room was spotlessly clean and all modern fixings! Would be staying again!

A great hotel! All the staff were friendly and wonderful. The breakfast was delicious and a good deal—omelet, sausage, yogurt, and fresh croissants, pains au chocolat, and baguettes that they pick up from local bakeries. You’re right near rue Mouffetard for market browsing and dining options.

Lovely location close to metro. Plenty of food and cafes around. Recently refurbed. Nice lobby. No bar. Rooms are small but it’s Paris. Would definitely return.

Great Choice

Hotel de Esperance was a great choice for a 5 day visit to Paris! The hotel is conveniently located near public transportation as well as numerous cafes. It is non-smoking. The breakfast offered a good variety in a comfortable space. The room was spacious, clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. The staff were all welcoming, hospitable and very knowledgeable. They were always willing to answer our questions. Highly Recommendable.

The staff was very accommodating and helpful. They were nice and made visiting a new country less intimidating. The hotel is in an area near restaurants, a pharmacy, and multiple metro stations as well as near an area with ride-sharing scooters and bikes. The hotel itself is well kept and clean. The area is small, which seems like a normal theme in Paris overall. The room we stayed in was small as well, but it was very comfortable. I would consider rebooking and recommend to friends and family.

My mother, sister, and I stayed in the triple room (three adults fit comfortably).This hotel is a boutique hotel that, thankfully, has an elevator. The room was compact but it had everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. Housekeeping was diligent and helpful. There is breakfast every morning in the lobby and there are several walkable cafe’s near by.The only think I was not a fan of was having to leave the room key at the front desk.They have the safe key on it as well (didn’t ask if we could keep the safe key). The walls are thin but we were so exhausted from exploring Paris we didn’t care (I always use earplugs when I travel). The A/C in the room wasn’t strong but it existed. Overall, the stay was great. I would stay here again.

Recommend this hotel to all of u

Very good location, have lots of delicious restaurant nearby. You don’t need to worry abt the room key since they will keep it when u go out. And the main door will lock in mid night, so u don’t need to worry abt the security. Same as previous comment, the room is quite small and you will hear your neighbour walking, talking since the wall is thin. The only thing I dislike is their hair dryer. The hair dryer need to keep pressing the button, which make me feel so annoying everyday. And the wire of hairdryer is too short. You can only use it in washroom. Hope the hotel will change another model later. Overall, recommend this hotel to u!

After booking this hotel i contacted them with a couple of simple questions, their response when it came was brusque and unhelpful The day before i was due to stay i received an email saying that they couldn't accommodate us, with no further explanation but a transfer to a different hotel in a different part of the city. There was no further communication from them when asked for more details Whilst i cannot comment on the property or location itself, the customer service is utterly appaling and on that alone i would not recommend considering this hotel!

Make it more dramatic : have stayed few times in this hotel. In my last stay upon checking in the receptionist gave me an extremely rude and unprofessional attitude. The keys to my room were not working I explained that I had traveled over 12 hours and I need rest but he insisted that there was nothing with the key and only after an hour he decided to try himself and indeed the keys were not working. I asked for another room he said it’s not possible proposing that he would lock and open the room for me everytime but I can’t be late after 12 because he won’t be here to open I said what sort of service is this and either I have my own key or I’ll find another hotel …then he gave me another room which wasn’t the same category saying “ you’re only here for one night so why the fuss?” Never again !
