Breakfast- good selection and it was nice. At 15 Euros it was good. Space- room was very small. The steps up were narrow and so was the elevator. TV- was all in French and we couldn’t get any programming in English nor was there CC in English Sleep- the bed was comfortable and the street was quiet.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price near Gare de Lyon

Nice hotel conveniently located close to Gare de Lyon. Clean. Comfortable. And reasonably priced. A very good find for Paris.

Clean, comfortable & convenient

Basic, but clean, comfortable and convenient. Situated in the Bastille district with great local cafes and shops just around the corner. Two metro lines nearby to easily whisk you to probably all the places you need to get to and see in Paris. Recommended 👍

This was our third stay at the Color Design Hotel and every time has been as perfect as the last. The staff is always thoughtful and courteous. The rooms are small, but very comfortable. The price is well below what you could easily spend in Paris. The neighborhood is absolutely outstanding with the local farmers market a few blocks away. Cafés, bakeries, restaurants and nightlife everywhere right outside the front door!

The Staff was very kind and and were prompt in servicing room while I was gone. Very very quiet. However the facility looks like it hasnt been properly kept up with for years by owners which shows in things being stained, broken, and not at all like the photos they have that I believe are very very old and from back when they were a premium hotel. None of the draw in the "color" is present in the rooms now with lights and artistic appeal gone due to burnt out lights or filters they had before. Again solid experience with the food and people but owners need to refresh this place.

Hotel was clean and tidy. The room was promoted as a twin room, but it was a large double bed, luckily it was not too much of a problem. The room safe was not working and also it was NOT fixed to the wall - so it was of no use. The lift was very small (it only has capacity for 3 adults), so if you have very large luggage, it could be a problem if your room is on the 2nd or 3rd floor. There is a small restaurant that does breakfast only, but this is not a problem as there are plenty of restaurants very close to the hotel and are open until very late. The staff were helpful and always willing to help and advise on any questions you have.

It was very very very bad experience.There Was an error in my selection for my kids.1 room was booked.but they forced me to take 2 rooms and charged 200 Euro extra.I requested to mange 1 family room and adjust the price.but they forced me to take 2 rooms and i paid 200 euro extra for 2 nights but we stayed in one room cause i cant leave my kids undee 9 years old into another room.The building has manufacture defect.bathroom door doesnt lock.not sure how they are running hotel.I wish they refund my 200 euro

The hotel is okay for a two star but this is definetely not three stars. Truly baffling was the fact the bathroom door cannot physically close and they knew this when they installed it. It literally is stopped by the sink... The other major maintence issues were the fact the AC wasn't working (luckily wasn't too hot the days we were there) and shower drain was backed up so it was incredibly slow. Also oddly there was no do not disturb sign so even though we told the front desk we did not want any room cleaning we still got our door knocked on every morning. Walls are also paper thin. Some staff were friendly others seemed a bit standoffish. Investment needs to be made to the hotel for the prices.

Pictures of the hotel Are not real. The sit of the bathroom was broken and I had to fix it. There door couldn’t close properly and it was dirty. The room was not clean… the shelves looked dirty. We didn’t want to touch anything. The door of the room was not able to be locked. The paint of the wall was falling in some spots. No body was cleaning the room or removing the rubbish everyday. Not sure how it got the 3 stars The bed was comfortable and the heater worked very good. Location also goos

This is actually a great place to stay, location close to line 8 and line 1 on the metro, very easy connection to CDG and all sites. It is a very quiet street, (so much so you are not sure if you are there! Perhaps an illuminated sign would help), we followed walking instructions on google maps to find it which worked well. So, quiet location and good nights sleep based on that, you just walk to the end of the small avenue and suddenly you are on a much busier road with many cafes/bars/places to eat, we particularly liked Le Trois Freres, that is the yellow line 1metro side and then there were a collection of other places almost in a little square near the purple 8 line. Bed was comfy, shower was nice. There isn't a kettle as standard which I had seen in another review so I asked at reception if we could have one and they do have them and gave me one to take to my room so I was able to make my morning cuppa. Saw a review that said no towels but there were towels and there were extra in the drawers again, if you ask I am sure they will provide, reception were very accommodating. The only reason it is not 5 stars is that it does feel a bit strange going outside the back of the hotel to get to your room, this was on 4th floor you walk up inside, then go out to go back in. I think this is probably what the building are like in Paris as they are all quite tall and narrow which was echoed on the stair case. Good location, comfy bed, small room but all you need.

The street and the alley we walked down just didn't seem safe, especially in the evening. We had to leave the key each time we left. There was a little safe, however it could be picked up and taken away. The receptionist at check in was more interested in her phone conversation, than us. When we checked out, there was a lovely lady who helped us get a cab.
