"We loved our stay at Island garden huts. The owner Paula was great with communication and very friendly. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. Will definitely stay there again on my next visit to Nusa Lembongan."
"Absolutely lovely staff, very helpful and delighful to deal with. Property was clean and comfortable, nice little bungalows surrounding a pool, lovely and boutique within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Lovely and quiet. Highly recommend if you are looking to stay close to mushroom beach or dream beach. Would stay here again without hesitation 5 star staff really made us feel welcome and cared for. "
"Simple, super clean and perfect accommodation. On a quieter street but literally so close to great beach, shops and good coffee. The owner and staff are so friendly and willing to help. They also transport you and hire scooters. Highly recommend."
"The staff were amazing, they were friendly and extremely helpful. They helped us from learning how to drive a scooter to helping us find a lost phone! Each and every employee welcomed us with a smile. They are an incredible team/family. The space was perfect and very clean. We enjoyed the pool and the bed was super comfy. We will miss this place and look forward to returning when we come back in the future! "
"This is an absolute gem. With so many choices, I really feel that we hit the jackpot. Cheap but with all the special considerations including bed turn down and lovely complimentary breakfast. Family owned and run, you are dealing with beautiful local people. You can hire scooters and walk to Mushroom Bay and the Sandy Bay Beach club is a very short walk. Comfortable beds, good air conditioning and wifi, and great pool area. Definitely would go back - and the adjoining massage spa is excellent!"
"Oh my word! This place is such a little haven. The staff are sublime, the cost for your own villa is astounding, the pool and surrounding area is sleepy and stunning. Beautiful gardens and the perfect stay be it on your own of as a duo! My favourite place yet. "
"We had a family stay and the hotel was beautiful. The staff were lovely and helped us book a fantastic snorkelling trip where we swam with manta rays and turtles.
Great food and facilities in a wonderful setting on an amazing island!!"

"This is the first hotel I have complained at. Our first room, the toilet was leaking, and creating a pool of toilet water in the shower. We asked for this to be fixed, or a new room, the lady said ‘we will good clean’. We said no, this is not acceptable. She said ‘tomorrow’. The next day it was still not fixed, staff tried to tell us tomorrow again, and we can have a new room (bear in mind that morning 4 rooms were checking out that we could have had). Eventually they swapped our room with somebody else (did not tell this person the toilet water was all over the floor). Other guests said their sink was not working, another room shower was broken, another room there was blood on the sheets and mould all the way up the walls, and another the fridge was broken. Every guest we spoke to had moved rooms. The guest with mould up the wall then moved into the room with the broken toilet. Every room seemed to have a problem. I would not recommend on these grounds. Additionally, the short lady in navy blue top was SO RUDE to us!!! She told us to just check out and go to a different hotel. Kept shouting at us unnecessarily. I’ve never had such encounter! This same lady kept lying to us saying the toilet would be fixed. I spoke to the manager on the phone and he said to just check out - they had no intention of fixing the problems, they just love guests around. The 2 gentlemen staff were very polite and tried to help us with the problem. One of them got us on the phone to the manager. "
"Our family stayed for 4 nights in this lovely hotel, I found the property to be calming, felt very comfortable. Our room was lovely, bed comfortable. The pool was delightful and good temperature to take the heat off and plenty seating around it. The staff were lovely and especially lovely Manageress sorry her name escapes me for now. We were greeted with the best fresh orange juice we have every had. The hotel is a short walk to Mushroom Bay which is lovely with Restaurants on the beach serving nice meals. The whole Island is definitely worth a visit. "
"I’m not sure words do Lembongan justice, the Island is one of the most amazing places I’ve been to. Our hotel was fabulous, it was quiet, clean, with friendly staff. The setting and location were perfect for us and the pool area was great. On arrival we found the room was very small for two adults and a teenage son, I had expected a little more space. We had a mattress on the floor with no mosquito net which worried our son (he was right to be, we were bitten a lot) I asked if there were any rooms available to book (at a cost of course) luckily they did have so our problem was solved. We would absolutely stay here again. One thing to note, the bar did not open once in the four nights we stayed which we found very odd. Bintang and Radler available but nothing else. Also there are set times to order food, which was fine but good to know in advance. Taxi drivers are amazing and very helpful. Visit to mushroom beach and devils tears are recommended.

"Mushroom Bay is great, quiet enough but still variation in dining options around the beach and walks up the roads from the bay.
Very handy that Tanis' fast boat pulls up straight out the front.
Included breakfast menu had something for all four of us, basic but nice.
Tanis is NOT 5 star, probably built 40-50 years ago and only basic maintenance carried out since, however, most aircons look fairly new.
Our kids loved the slide and pools, plus the option to swim in the ocean (they found a tree to climb and jump into the ocean from, out on the point).
We had adjoining rooms (Tropical Garden Bungalows, 2A 2B, separate from the 3 story building), the beds were good (a little soft for me, perfect for my wife), improvements would be: blackout curtains (garden lights left on all night), a clothes dryer or drying room (no towel racks and nothing dries in the tropics, unless in the aircon), comfortable seats or couches in the rooms (lots of biteys at night) and the road fixed to the back of the hotel (rough limestone track; wouldn't be bad on a trail bike but the scooter kept bottoming out).
All in all a nice week on Lembongan via Tanis Resort; surf, snorkelling, food, nice people and helpful staff."
