"The Surf Lodge was modern and clean, however when you can hear the guests next door talking and then snoring all night you don't get a good nights rest for $400+ a night. We stayed in a Queen room and it was tight, the bathroom was narrow with a small sink and shower area. Our one lucky score was a parking spot that didn't originally come with the room, definitely a saving grace on a holiday weekend. We won't be staying there again as we didn't wake well rested."

"The room said non smoking but it reeked of cigarettes. The furniture looked really old. The mattress had a dent in it like it has been used for 30 years. I didn’t sleep well at all because of the uncomfortable mattress. There were no pool towels and when they were brought out, they were tiny. I’ve always thought best westerns were nice but this felt like a motel for the price of a hotel. The breakfast was okay but could use more fresh fruit and more options. "There was no microwave. The TV was very small. The Wi-Fi signal was very weak. The TV kept trying to find the Wi-Fi. There were insects in the room. Little black spiders. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The ocean was very close. You couldn't see it from the room but you just had to climb to the top of the little Hill and you can see it overall. It was okay. Just the amenities was the weak part of this trip and the Wi-Fi"

"Parking was very limited. Garbage outside was very close to room. Carpet in room is stained and not so clean. Bathroom towel bar is missing. Wi-fi did not work. Landline phone did not work. Reported to front desk, was told that every room were working. Blamed my lap top which is 3 months old. Even tv continue to freeze even though it is wired. Vanity lamp and mirror in the bathroom were glaringly rusted. This facility was marketed as a hotel. It is NOT. Sign says MOTEL. This facility does not...
