"Disappointing that the hotel was not carrying the Fox or Telemundo coverage of the World Cup. The hotel staff was embarrassed and said we should ask the corporate owners why that was the case. In addition, our room was not ready until 40 minutes after check in. We didn't really mind until we couldn't watch the World Cup games in the hotel bar. Otherwise, this is a nice property with staff doing their best to support customers."

"We selected this Red Roof Inn as an economical option to visit the US Brig Niagara at the nearby Maritime Museum (just a few minutes easy drive). We are grading it based on an "economy" hotel as opposed to a "luxury" hotel, which it is not (you have to carry your own bags, no restaurant on site, no hair dryer in the room, etc.) Having said that, the checkin was quick and easy with a friendly staff (Petar, in our case). They had sufficient luggage carts available to use without waiting for one...

"Other than the room being loud from the HVAC equipment right below the window and the tv freezing most of the time, the view was great. Friendly staff and the shoreline bar and grill is fantastic."

"Needs a deep clean underneath the surface like the walls could be wiped down but wasnt too dirty though. Chris the maintenance guy tried hitting on my wife which he needs fired from the place. The room was nice beds and comfy. The shower was nice and hot water instantly and clean towels. "The sheets and towels were dirty. When asked for more towels for showering and the pool because only 2 towels were in the bathroom and 4 people were booked for the room we were given 2 more and was told that was all they had. Wash clothes were brown, and sheets had dirty on them. Bathroom wall looked like either blood or dirty was on them. When you first turn on the water it was orange. Building smelled like pot. Pool was open and alright but dirt was floating in it. Fridge did not keep...

"This has become my go to stay place when traveling east. It is a great hotel with a wonderful staff. Helpful, kind and courteous. The continental breakfast, simple but with a variety. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the showers rock! A quiet stay with amenities and a pool! Conveniently off the highway. Definitely worth the overnight or more stay."

"Location to state park was ideal. Staff were friendly and breakfast is a full breakfast with multiple options. The rooms are older which is fine, but could have been cleaner. The outside pool looked nice and clean but the outdoor maintenance of the grounds has not been done."

"I had to request another room because there were men milling around and I couldn't get a good parking spot to unload my things. The room I got had a musty smell so I opened all the windows despite the humidity. Very noisy location on a busy road so I needed earplugs. The bathroom was very small and tight. The mattress needs replacing. Wifi is very good with no password needed. Breakfast is very limited and mediocre. I couldn't drink the coffee and had to get some at a nearby shop."

"The Steelhead Inn is a clean no frills motel with fantastic location to restaurants and Presque Isle State Park. It is our 'go to' location for rwasonably"

"Very quiet in a great location that is close to shopping, restaurants and only 20 minutes to the State park beaches . Nice to have coffee machine in lobby all day . We Read that Breakfast was really good but it was just okay with scrambled eggs and sausages as the only protein . Also the gym was not really a gym - a few free weights and cardio machines . Even a bench or two would be nice . Still we paid a pretty good price and 30% less than nearby Holiday Inn."
