"You get what you paid for. This place is not dirty but it is outdated. The walls are very thin so you could hear people talking and a dog barking. If you’re a light sleeper this place might not be a good place to stay at. The bed was very rough very hard. Other than that it was a decent place. Close to the city close to the freeway. "What an interesting place to stay in SF. The owner and assistant were so much fun, interesting and helpful. In a location in mid-south ish part of the city close to everything we wanted to do. We will recommend this spot to anyone that wants a bed and breakfast and/or something with tremendous history, nice room and bathroom with everything you could need. "

I was going to a concert at Pier 80 and it was a great location. I also went to the Wooden Spoon for breakfast = 3 min walk and very good. "The room was spotless, the design and finishes were fantastic, and it was a peaceful escape from the busy streets of Castro in San Francisco. The staff were super helpful and got back to me quickly. Expedia had a $34 food credit on my reservation, but the hotel couldn’t use it, so the staff mentioned they’re looking into a refund."

"Had a comfortable stay here for 3 weeks in their 2BR unit. Their fully equipped kitchen, free airport shuttle/, breakfast and use of laundry machines are a big plus for this hotel. Staff are friendly and accommodating as well. My only issue here is the weekly housekeeping. However they provide you essentail items (towels, soap, etc) and trash removal as requested. Will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit. It's definitely a home away from home. "
